About Smitty

Smitty is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and Thanks Badge recipient with over 50 years of tenure as both a girl and an adult volunteer. She has served as a troop leader at multiple levels, a trainer, a songleader, as staff and director of Wider Opportunities (now Destinations), and on lots of other fun stuff. Smitty's Scouting experience has spanned four different councils plus connections with a number of other councils. Smitty has no children of her own, but is grateful for the opportunity to touch so many girl's lives. She can often be found running through the woods, map in hand, or enjoying the feeling of mud oozing through her toes.
